~Time Gate :Knight's Chase Animated Adventure by INFOGRAMES Reviewed by Lu Richardson ------------------------- This is another one of those great adventures of the "Alone in the Dark" type which I can see is going to drive everyone nuts. The graphics are slightly better than in the series I mention, but the handling capatibilies of the character and the sudden changes of perspective continue to be a bit of a nightmare. The interface could have been more awkward if they'd tried, but it's bad enough as it is... which is a great pity. However, on the plus side, once you get used to it, it's not too bad at all. Frustrating, but not bad. The sounds are great and very atmospheric and, for once, I quite liked the music. At least it comes in at the right moment and does not go on all the time, getting on your nerves. The presentation of the game is very artistic and enjoyable and, though the plot is not all that clear at the beginning, at least it's there. It has to do with travelling to the past and righting a wrong, apart from rescueing a damsel, so you go from the present to Medieval times and get mixed up with knights and such. Great fun. If you can bear the clumsy handling of the character and the short arcade sequences, then you are in for a treat. If you are a confirmed fan of the "Alone in the Dark" series, rush out this minute and buy this game - you won't regret it.
